Heeeres Johnny!

Journal Entry: Wed May 7, 2008, 1:41 PM
Well, i finally did a story (and finished it). Really sorry about all the half-way ones. I just lost inspiration before they were done... not really fair to you guys, but i will try to get around to finishing them eventually.

Anyways, new thing: I have started fencing which is excellent. It is also the reason that my typing is god-awful at this time (I am two inches away from dozing off after a couple of hours of practice). That and it being late.

Also; my school is soon to be in full exam-red-alert-holy-crap-mode. Should happen around friday. In other words: I might be getting very busy, very suddenly.

I have a sneaking suspicion that i should have switched class-line when i had the chance last year - but its too late for that now. Rats. :/

Thanks for all your patience. You guys are great  :D

Fencing sounds totally awesome! My parents won't let me try it until I'm older though, because they're terrified I'll be hurt.

Ohnoes exam-mode! *twitch*

Exam mode.... ouch. Best of luck with that.

And fencing, you say? Very nice. Foil, é;pée, or sabre?

Finishing a story is one of the hardest things. Don't worry.

Thanks ;)

Foil. My trainer described it as the type most suited for beginners - and as "chess going 200 km/h". =P You fence? :)

 My mom was all fussy about it too. We're padded pretty well though. So far the only injuries i have had are minor bruises on my thighs. :)

I know, right? :fear:

Aye, foil is the best training weapon. It gives you the right-of-way experience for sabre, and general point control for é;pée, if you decide to change over to either of those. I do, actually - mostly é;pée, now, though I did nothing but foil for a few years. I'm still not any good at it, though. :P

I've had much worse injuries from the times I've merely been chasing my friends than I have from the 2 or 3 times I've tried a bit of fencing. Padding helps a great deal.

I'm more worried about next year than this one. AP exam nooooooes.
